Dell Streak 7 Tablet Review!

The Dell Streak 7 comes equipped with a 7-inch 800×480 Gorilla glass, dual-core 1Ghz Tegra 2 processor, 512MB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD slot for up to 32GB more, 5-megapixel back-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, WiFi B/G/N, Bluetooth, Android 2.2, and optional 4G data on T-Mobile.

The Dell Streak 7 is very comparable to Elocity A7, specs almost identical with the Streak 7 having an extra front-facing camera while the Elocity A7 doesn’t.

The dual-core 1Ghz Tegra 2 processor on the Dell Streak 7 certainly beats out Galaxy Tab as in terms of speed and future upgrades to Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

While the Elocity A7 does has a full HDMI port, the Dell Streak 7 requires you to buy an additional proprietary Streak dock to stream videos to your HDTV.  I think it would be much better if Dell had put even mini-HDMI ports on the Dell Streak 7.  Of course, if you are not going to be streaming to HDTV often, just at home, there’s no problemo!

The Dell Streak 7 is probably on par with the Elocity A7.  I think they are about the same as far as hardware specs go but the Elocity A7 does have its HDMI port and full-sized USB port off the bat, which I like more.

But the Elocity A7 doesn’t come with data access, meaning you can only get WiFi.   The Dell Streak 7 is definitely the best in the market for 7-inch tablets if you want to take advantage of T-Mobile’s 4G and you need data on the go.
